Other Ways You Can Get Into the Act:
Volunteer!
Tsirkus is staffed entirely by people who generously donate their time and expertise because it’s fun and they believe in what Tsirkus does: bringing creativity to communities in a direct and tangible way while also helping all kinds of non-profit and artistic projects to fund raise. We maintain a roster of creative, smart, hard-working, stylish, and ebullient volunteers to help on public shoots and are always looking for more. Email us and we can give you more info and answer any questions you might have.
Additionally, we are in great need of marketing, publicity and fundraising help in just about any way, shape or form. We need to spread the word! This could range from doing a bit of graphic design to helping put together our newsletter, The Focal Plane, to creating and implementing a fundraising plan.
Donate!
This year cash donations covered our liability insurance bill, keeping the project safely afloat. Cash donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law and Tsirkus Fotografika is 501(c)3-sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, NYC. You can donate online here: FracturedAtlas.org
We can use any kind of older/vintage clothing, accessories, or small props you might have for use in our costume shoots. Items can range from the conservative to the wacky. Who ever thought a blow-torch would look great in a photo?
Large-format cameras and lenses and/or studio equipment may also be accepted or we may recommend other organizations that could benefit. We are not in need of any darkroom outfitting.
Model!
It’s no secret that the studio photographs on the Tsirkus site, especially the nude images, are responsible for drawing much traffic to our website. If you are an experienced model or just someone with great creative chops who’d like to trade time for print or CD, contact us.
A simple model release is required.
